"Danna pools built our pool in 2007. I see reviews below that say Danna pools is unresponsive. Wow, that could not be further from my experience. Dan has been answering my dumb calls and quickly returning messages for 15 years. I dont have a single contractor that I can say that about. With regard to the quality of Danna pools, Dan has been building pools in the Chicago area for at least 35 years. (It was over 20 when we hired them.) I'll bet my legs there is another side of the story to those negative reviews below. We've had no issue with our shell. We are still working with the original plaster and looking great after 15 years! All we've done is upgrade the controller and that was just because I wanted to control the temp from my phone. Danna pools have been great for us. If you're building a gunite pool in Chicagoland, you really should talk to him. He knows his stuff."

"My husband and I are so happy we chose Danna Pools to build our pool. They had a very detailed pre-construction process that allowed us to see exactly what our pool would look like even before it was built. During construction, we had to make some changes to the original plan because of money issues, and Dan was very professional and understanding! We were so pleased with the pool and spa that we even had Danna Pools build our outdoor kitchen. Our backyard is truly a paradise now!"

"I would recommend you to not use Danna pools for anything: Doesn't return phone calls as he States Doesn't follow up with his staff on ongoing service or repairs. Makes promises he cannot keep or even control weekly service items. Constantly have to watch when his workers show up if they actually even show up. I have been waiting over 10 days for a motor issue to be resolved in which he has avoided, and have just found out that a full scale remodel job for pool room has not been followed up correctly on his end from IDPH permitting that he has not fulfilled the paperwork process, after waiting 2+ months. Is this a smear campaign absolutely YES.....he is not a trustworthy person nor is his company ran in a form of good standing, has constantly bashed others in which should have guessed it is he who is the issue not the others. Stay away from Danna pools.....best advice!"

"We contracted with Danna to replace an older auto cover and for pool maintenance. The older cover was worn with some holes and rails were starting to pull from the walls but it worked well. In addition to the cover Danna was contracted to replace the tile at the waterline. We were told the project we start in 3-4 weeks of receiving the deposit in early April. Danna started the tile project two weeks late but it was still spring so we didn't mind. About over 4 weeks later they called to ask us what color we wanted for the cover. Alarm bells started to go off. The custom cover was to have been installed at this time but they hadn't even ordered the custom cover yet! We were now getting into July and we had not been able to use the pool yet. When they finally installed the cover it didn't travel straight so it would not completely open or close. After many attempts to fix the problem they decided the pool was not square. Keep in mind the old cover worked perfectly it was just getting old. We paid Danna $4500 to replace the old concrete cover pit and "square up" the cover. Within two weeks the cover started to travel crooked again so it would not open or close properly. I have now contacted Danna Pools over 6 times over two pool seasons for repair. The pool's chemical maintenance was fine and Casey who answers the phones is pleasant but has no authority. Daniel the owner, will take your money and walk away from any issues that he is responsible for. I have never written a negative review for any product or service but given the terrible service at almost every point with Danna I feel compelled to write this review"
