"Jimmy and his crew were amazing!!! They had our 24x54 round pool up in about 3-4 hours. They arrived on time, they were knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to communicate with. Long story short, we ended up needing fencing around the top of pool (to meet city height requirements). We went out after they left, bought the fence kit and they came back the very next morning to install it (on Father's Day). We appreciate them and their hard work. The office staff was great too and very responsive. We highly recommend this company. Thank you very much A&J!!"

"I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the install team. They arrived right at the beginning of the 11-1 window they said they would arrive. They were professional and made recommendations as to the placement of the pool so we didn’t have issues with electrical wires. They were quick and clean. Installing a pool is messy, but they kept everything in order and my yard didn’t look as bad as people said it would. The team was professional and very nice. From setting up the date for install to them finishing the job, I was beyond impressed. Thanks everyone!!"

"Bought a new replacement pool from Great Escape on 5/16 and A&J contacted me that evening to set up installation for today 5/20/23! I couldn’t believe they were able to install so quick. Had several phone conversations with their offices and my questions were answered professionally and calls returned promptly. Crew arrived right on time this morning and began tear down of my old pool. Old pool 27’ removed and new pool 24’ was up in about 3 hours! Jerry’s crew was very professional and they worked together like a well oiled machine. There were no surprises and I am totally pleased with their work. I would recommend these pool installers to anyone."

"Ordered pool through The great escape in Wilmette and A&J installed my pool. I was not informed of many additional charges like for sod removal and they charged me for 7 inches of leveling my yard when only first 3” are free. My yard was perfectly level, or so I thought nor did I think I had to back fill in all around the pool myself. My yard (grass) and driveway were completely destroyed and they left a huge muddy mess caused by the Bobcat. I never expected that it would take so much effort on my part to put my yard back together. I’ve used other installers before and they never left my property in such a mess. Then when I called and informed the company of the condition of my yard they pretty much responded “oh well” Very frustrating especially when the whole job cost almost 9 thousand dollars. Never again would I use either company. The reason for this post is so that others be aware of the hidden charges and how their yard will be left."

"We bought our pool from the great escape. We purchased a 30ft round seascape. We live in unincorporated will county, and the permit process is very complicated. None the less I started reaching out to A&J before I even bought the pool to start getting the permit process going, and I must say even from the beginning everyone called me back or answered the phone, and I’d like to point out I never left a voicemail, they called me back just as a missed call EVERY single time. They provided me everything I needed to get them set up with Will county. So I go in and purchase the pool, it gets delivered 7/5. I tell them I have my permit, and let them know I’m good to go and if they happen to get a sooner spot than 7/21 to give me a call.. sure enough they call me on 7/13 and let me know they can come the next day for install. Their crew was professional, very nice, respectful, honest, and they installed a 30ft pool in just under 4 hours.. we could not be happier with the entire process from the beginning all the way to today. I’m really sad to see this company have so many bad reviews and based on my experience as a second time pool owner that many people here did not have the correct expectations going in. I was told from the begging, they will charge to haul dirt, or leave it, that the first 3 inches are free after that you have to pay extra, they do not take the trash you have to take care of that, they don’t install ladders, they will install pool fencing if you pay extra, and that your responsible for location, permits and etc. so my final thought is anyone who might be worried about these reviews who is thinking about buying a pool from great escape. Please don’t be! They did a fantastic job!"
