The Roofing Guys

"The Roofing Guys have received a letter from the Attorney General of the State of Illinois for not returning back $7,000 to me for doing absolutely no work to replace a roof but now claiming that the money that is in their hands automatically becomes theirs. Is that right? Can anybody do this? (There was no loss on their part whatsoever -- I talked to their supply store). They gave no start or finish date for their proposed work, and they made no contact with me for a month about starting any work. I call that the crime of theft! (Ask yourself, Wouldn't you return a customer's money if nothing was done for him?) This what their office looks during their business hours, closed and disheveled. This must be now a scam operation at this time. Please don't go here for your next roof! How I regret doing so!"

"Tried to use the wrong color roofing tiles- which is so amateur, then when I pointed it out- they got the right ones that they seemed to even have in stock. After the job I noticed midway through the job that had stuck a handful of the wrong colored roofing tiles on my roof- which just looks bizarre & I’m unsure why they would do that. Then when I (luckily) had my furnace serviced before winter- the hvac people noticed that the roofers had pushed down the gas pipe so hard it broke the pipe fitting to the furnace which would have caused a massive gas leak and probably k*lled us had we not had a routine service done on it this year. Those are only 2 of the many many problems that came with this unprofessional company. Please for you own safety- go with real professionals."

"The best decision Ive made for my home was calling these guys and having them come check out my roof after the hail storm we had. They were very professional and super attentive to my every concern. The owner Matt is a super cool dude and very easy to talk to. He has walked me through every step and made this a stress free process. Being a first time home owner I didn't know where to start but Matt and the Roofing Guys made it very easy!! I highly recommend them to anybody!! My roof and gutters look amazing!"

"I would not use these guys, they are the worst company I have ever had the pleasure of using. I had a simple job replace a gutter and the fascia threat was torn down during the storm. They came out and gave me an estimate and than the fun began. I put my deposit down and was told it would be 4 weeks for them to come out. Not a big deal. 4 weeks go by I call and they respond with they are a little behind because of the storms. Ok not a problem 6 weeks go by and still not a word from them. Finally 2 months go by and they scheduled me. The first day they never showed or called when I called they said they were on a job and would come by the next day. 2 weeks of this and a no show I had to take time off work to be there just to have them not even give me a curtesy call. Finally a guy came out looked at the job smoked a cigarette mumbled about how it was a 2 person job and left. I called and tried to speak with the manager but they would not put me through to him said it was against their policy. Finally after another few weeks they came out and just put the old trim and gutter back up. Not a single call from the manager or anyone about this horrible job. We even reached out on their Facebook page with no luck. There is so much more to this story but if they can’t even do the little things right why would I want them to do the big things. They were referred to me by my realtor. They refused to return my deposit."
