"We were exploring the area on our way to Albuquerque. We wanted to find some off road trails to enjoy with our jeep. This park had some fun trails with some stunning views of the lake. most of the areas are easily explored with any vehicle. but there were a few fun spots that required 4wd and one or two with 4lo spots. Nothing crazy, but fun and the views were beautiful."
"This is the best and most beautiful lake we have been to in NM. Absolutely love it everytime we go. A must visit lake for New Mexicans and everyone coming to NM."
"Mine Canyon on the south side of the lake is the cleanest, most beautiful lake I've been too. Well taken care of and very natural."
"We stayed at the Logan Park Campground for two weeks. There are flushing toilets and showers. It wasn't too bad. A lot of goatheads all over the ground. So, if you have dogs, be very careful where you let them walk. The bathrooms were cleaned occasionally, but someone thinks that cleaning just means spraying everything until it is drenched, leaving the standing water everywhere, and not actually wiping anything down. They also left the women's restroom without toilet paper for over 4 hours one day, after they took every single roll out. The showers are push button and only last 15 seconds at a time. Not to mention, the lights are on about a 15 minute timer, so if you take longer than that in the shower, they'll turn off on you, and you'll be left in the dark. We pretty much never saw the camp host. I probably could have stayed the second week without a reservation, and nobody would have known. There is a nice swimming area by the Zia Campground. The people at the Marina were super nice, friendly, and helpful. The sunsets over the lake were beautiful. If you have T-Mobile, the service wasn't bad. Overall, not a terrible place to stay."
