"I was racially profiled by the salesman at this store. I visited this establishment to see if they would be able to help correct an issue with a watch I recently purchased. I watched a woman walk in 30 seconds before me with no issue, when I go to enter the store the salesman locked the door by pressing the button underneath the counter, and he met me at the door with the police officer in tow. He proceeded to inform me that they couldn't be of service to me and I should try the other jewelry establishment across the street. I left and sat in my vehicle and watched a man walk in with no incident and no locked doors in less than a minute after I left. As a black man who grow up in predominantly white neighborhood and who works in corporate America as a corporate banker and salesman myself, I am a very presentable person and do not give of the impression of a threat to store or anyone else for that matter. The actions of this salesman was unacceptable, and hope that it doesn't represent the values of Bachendorf's."
