"This is a very honest review that comes from a person that has dealt with the full spectrum of terrible tax accounting services to excellent. Matt is on the far end of the excellent spectrum. The simplest thing we ask of our tax preparer is to communicate effectively and take our personal finances seriously. Matt would respond in 24 hours consistently and let us know as soon as he hit a roadblock because of a missing document. He also asked COMMON SENSE questions when something didn't seem right. Our previous preparer treated it like we were just paying them to do the paperwork. No advice or direction. So we were always in a state of uneasiness that we were still responsible for a tax system no one fully understands. Matt delivered peace of mind through the questions he asked to ensure our taxes were done correctly. When the taxes were complete, he schedule a 1 hour session to review all of the documents and why he did "this" or why he did "that". Our prior experience with a tax preparer, we hand them a check and they handed us the paper copies to review. Matt cared and treated it like we were submitting them together. Even gave us the opportunity to make some changes to areas he felt were underrepresented for credits. Then he e-filed everything for us and had us sign and pay. After we left his office we did not have to do a damn thing, which again, was far different from our experience with other preparers. He took care of everything. Matt also said we can contact him at anytime during the year and he will offer tax advice for my wife, who is self-employed. He is great, we actually feel like we have a partner in the tax game and we haven't slept this easy in years. If you are on the fence and "googling" tax preparers like I did, and you are leery of 5 star reviews (because that awful tax place we used had 5 stars), you should give this guy a chance."
