B&B Laundromat

"Avoid this laundromat if you are passing through town. Machines DO NOT take coins or credit cards. Instead, a person needs to buy a $5.00 magnetic strip card, then add money to the card, then swipe the magnetic card at the machines. You must call someone to get your $5.00 back. How completely complicated. Try the laundromat at south end of town."

"There are 2 numbers. Nobody ever answers so I show up and nobody available. Some of us work and cannot sit around waiting on someone to show up. Having a busy life is why I have my laundry done. The owner finally answers the phone and says WHATS THE EMERGENCY?? Very rude. I would suggest not using this place. They don’t even have a number listed and you have to go to laundromat to get numbers. Also they have homeless drug addicts at their location that look like they are going to rob you. Very unsafe."

"I bought the card for $5 and was told I could get a refund and any extra money I put on the card when I was done. I had a balance of $3.15. I got my $5 plus another dollar in change as the attendant told me she called ‘them’, but hadn’t heard back. So much for a full refund."

"**WARNING, WARNING, WARNING** Do not go to this laundromat for the first time WITHOUT a $5 bill on hand. Instead of using quarters like every other laundromat in the country, this laundromat (with the ever-so-creative name of "Laundromat" – I hope y'all didn't think too long and hard about that one) uses a card system. Which would be fine, I guess, if the card could be bought and used and refilled across the country. Alas, it cannot. It only works at this laundromat, period. Good idea, poor execution. It gets even worse in the fact that the machine where you buy the card will only accept $5 bills, do not pass go, do not collect $200. My husband went in yesterday with a ten and a twenty, and thus couldn't buy a card. ??!?!?! So he had to load all of the laundry back up into our truck and then go around town, trying to find a place to get a $5 bill. This ended up being RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT. He went to the Allsups across the street and got a lecture from the lady behind the counter that they weren't a bank and how dare he ask her for two fives in exchange for a ten. He went to a grocery store. He went a Sonic Drive-In. He got the same response. He finally went to the bank where the teller took pity on him and exchanged a ten dollar bill for two fives. When he got back to the laundromat and began unloading the clothes again, he was trying to make it down a skinny aisle to the washing machines, and said to a guy standing there, "Excuse me," trying to get past him. The guy casually pulls his jacket back, flashes his gun at my husband, and refuses to move. Doesn't say a word; just flashes his gun at him. ?!???!?!?!?! So my husband carries the bags of clothes all the way around the edge of the laundromat and over to the washing machines so he can actually get started on the laundry. WHO FLASHES THEIR GUN AT A LAUNDROMAT?!?! Once that's going, he sits down to get work done on his computer, and a teenage boy comes over and starts asking him questions about his computer (what kind is it, how old is it) and then literally tries to pick the computer up off the table. My husband blocks him from doing so, and the kid starts in on whining. "Why you gotta be rude like that? I just wanted to look at it." UMMM...NO. HANDS OFF, BUCKO! When it comes time for my husband to unload the clothing from the dryer, this same kid starts heckling him, asking him why he's playing with women's underwear, and does he wear it at home...I'm lucky my husband isn't in jail for beating this kid up, honestly. My husband is a nice and considerate and mild-mannered guy until you piss him off, and then he's a volcano. Other than a complete lack of civility and kindness amongst almost every person we've met in this town (?!?! This is a FIRST for us as we travel full-time around the country, btw) the laundromat was a fine one. Clean, the card system works great once you can purchase a card, the washers are all high efficiency, it's a nice set-up. I just wish that Levelland wasn't filled to the brim with rude, backwards people. We won't be back."

"This facility was the cleanest I I've ever seen. The equipment was new and all in good working condition. The staff was so helpful and made you feel comfortable. I would go again if I had to do laundry in the facility again"
