"Our normal Banfield is not this one; we had to bring our dog here for a checkup appointment after he had hurt his neck and was seen at the Banfield in PetSmart across the street (also not our normal Banfield). For the checkup, I expected to be in and out, with a quick check of his neck's mobility and if it was better. I dropped off 15 minutes early for his appointment at 9:30am and was told they had some surgeries that day so he would be ready for pickup later. I didn't hear any updates all day and finally at 4:30pm when I called to check, they said he wouldn't be ready for another hour. When I got there to pick him up an hour later, I STILL waited another 30 minutes before someone actually got him for me (with one front desk staff asking me multiple times who I was there for), and in that time my dog MADE EYE CONTACT with me so he knew I was there and no one helped me get him any faster. I should mention that my dog has heart problems and severe anxiety, and was made to stay in a kennel for over a full workday because they overbooked their schedule and couldn't make the time to briefly check his neck when I dropped him off in the morning. Even a VET TECH should have been able to do that!! Did I mention that the staff at the front desk were talking to people in the waiting room about one other patient's behavior and health problems? Should doctor-patient confidentiality be a thing, even for a dog? It was really disturbing that someone would bring their pet here only for the staff who should be caring for them to say things about them. Maybe it's only the front desk staff (older blond woman and another woman with dyed red hair), but it's really gross and completely inappropriate for a place that should provide CARE for animals."
