"Very unhappy with this person. During the time when the shared responsibility penalty was still around, we were told by this person that he cannot file in such way to avoid the penalty exemption. These exemptions were a fact and he simply refused to do so. It is possible and he avoided answering question regarding that and wanted us out of the office asap. He types fast, tries to get you out of there sooner rather than later and God forbid you have questions. They you`re being made to feel like you`re asking too much and you`re wasting his time. I am triggered especially on this subject about the healthcare penalty because he simply told me at the time that if I were an illegal alien then this would count as an exemption, but if I am not there are absolutely no exemptions. This is a total lie. Plus how does he even know immigration status to assume. Enough with the illegals being given breaks and even here on the tax returns they have a back door. Unbelievable. I have done my taxes with turbotax and there really IS exemption, but he just did not want to go that route for some reason. People who are on w2 forms are so much better off doing their taxes with softwares like Turbotax, and even with 1099 they are still better off considering these issues. Had I done my taxes this way I would`ve saved my $ on the penalty. And really there is no difference, all of the expenses that he writes one can do on their own, nothing special. And last but not least, the way he speaks arrogantly to the clients, the moment he looks at the income and makes assumptions and just speaking in this condescending manner as if examining your financial situation and making judgement as to what kind of a person you are based on your income. More than anything else this is the reason I stopped going there. It`s a bit like going to Nordstrom to spend YOUR money and the cashier being arrogant while taking it.
