"I made the switch to Labelle Accounting Service 2 years ago now and couldn't be happier. My old accountant increased his price every year regardless of my income and lacked accountability. The first year, Dean Labelle quoted me a price not knowing that I had a small business and still honored the lower price. This year I received a late penalty for my 2018 state taxes even know I sent of the payment before April15 . When I called the Illinois Department of Revenue they said it was because I owed them $550 and $500 is the maximum you can owe before penalties. The representative suggested I send off the $39 penalty with a note requesting "abatement of late estimated payment penalty" --- I figured I should call Dean and get his advice.
