"They are not willing to take the time to find out the cause of your problem, they are only interested in selling expensive exhaust systems. After taking my vehicle in for excessive noise when accelerating from a stop, they insisted the problem was my flex pipe, telling me I needed a new cat, quoting me $900. I took it to another shop, who after a through 10 minute inspection and then 5 minutes of work charged me $30 to tighten subframe bolts, problem solved. Steer clear of Payless unless you like having your mechanic play uneducated guessing games with your wallet, deferring to the easiest job that will make him the most money as his attempt at repair."

"I went today to get a quote on exhaust leak I had on my 2004 Honda accord. They quote me $525.00 for a new cat and some welding. They were claiming my cat was destroyed. I told them I was going to check another exhaust shop not far from were they are located. They other shop told me the cat was fine and the only thing needed is to be welded back to the exhaust pipe. Charge was $60.00 dollars, beware of Payless there rip offs."
