"The tech came early and took care of our problem. I didn't give him a bad score because I believe he is just doing what he is being paid for. He did fix our washer. However, I have concerns with Sears repair services. I think it is dishonest to create an astronomical price for repairs in an effort to sell home warranties to bring the price down. Sears offers a flat rate for labor when the tech was present at my home for less than an hour, and the part that needed to be replaced ended up being $50. $339 total? I was told it would have been $109 total if I had the warranty. That ends up being $57/month or over $600/year. I'm going to suggest that Sears avoids forcing their techs to be salespeople in an effort to fleece their customers with more costs. I won't be using Sears again. Thanks. Update: They not only had the tech try to sell me this warranty. They just called this afternoon to have another rep check that he had. Then, that rep tried to sell it to me again. When I asked if he was serious, Sears hung up on me."
"Tech came out checked out unit, ordered part, tech had to come back, checked part, wrong part, was then told unit is unrepairable. Spoke with Sears and was told would be refunded in 14-21 days. 21 days later no refund. Never again will I use Sears!"
