NISD Aquatic Center 1976 Texan Drive, Justin, TX 76247

"Came in on the Monday before Thanksgiving and thought this public pool would he a good option to take my 18 year old daughter and swim with her because her high school Swim Coach wouldn't be having Thanksgiving break practice. I went in on Monday explained this to the pool director who was sitting at the desk. I would be acting as her Coach and swimming alongside her. We were told where to swim for adult lap swimming by the director. Who asked my daughters age I told him she's 18. After the swim workout I was really happy thinking what a great facility this is its so clean and the water is perfect temperature. I work during the day so the Keller Nat Adult swim times don't work for us. As we were exiting I was asked again how old my daughter is by this swim director. I was told that the Keller Nat is open for adult lap swim. I told him yes it is but only on Monday and Tuesday before break. I thought the question was weird and didn't explain that I work and can't attend those times. The next day Tuesday I come in at 5:30am and was asked again by the director how old my daughter is. I said 18. He said " She doesn't look 18? " Why doesn't she drive here then? Don't you let her drive? Why don't you let her come here by herself?" I felt like I was getting grilled by the secret lap swim police. All he had to to do was ask for a valid ID from my daughter. I was being shamed by this man in front of 3 men waiting for the pool to open in the lobby. I started getting loud because I was being shamed by him for going lap swimming with my daughter. It was defensive on my part, me raising my voice. He said "Why are you getting angry?" I said because it's 5:30am in the morning all I want to do is swim and I feel like you are picking on me" because his questions were getting so personal. Then he turned into customer service guy and was very matter of fact with me in front of this group of men who were staring at us. Tomorrow my daughter will bring her ID to prove she's 18 even though on the website it states 16 plus for lap swim. Then he mentions something about me not wanting to swim at the Keller pool? Which was weird. I thought this pool was open to the public if we pay? Just the most bizarre gaslighting experience. Sorry I didn't know it was against the law to lap swim with your 18 year old kid."

"Wow! Cannot say enough good about this facility. Seating, air quality, location made the swim meeting enjoyable for all."

"This is a nice, clean new pool. There is plenty of seating for events - none of it comfortable or roomy though. Apparently architects have really short legs. Also, the bathrooms could have been designed better. There are three soap dispensers for 7-8 sinks and the Dyson air dryers don't work very well. It might sound like I wouldn't give it 4 stars but I've been to several pools and this one at least has a lot of seating. I also like the standing areas behind the bleachers."

"The TAGS 2022 Short Course meet was hosted here. Clean deck, lots of deck space, deck was clear of spectators as well."
