"If -5 Stars was an option i would do it! First time going through H&R Block this year (2024) I set an appointment for a quote online. When I arrived I mentioned I was there for an appointment for a quote and to talk about the cash advance. The lady who helped me had 30 years of experience, so I expected the best. This was inaccurate, she didn't know about certain deductions, credits, or how to even use her software and systems. After I started asking questions she said, "we can try". There is no trying, it's a yes or no. I'm not a tax professional, but I've done my taxes myself the last 4 years and I know more than her unfortunately. By the end of the conversation she didn't mention the cash advance one time, I asked and she said we have to wait to see after she types everything in. After we were all said in done, she told me my state and federal return and how much is costed, she said she was going to go print some stuff off. Little did I know SHE ALREADY FILED AND DIDNT EVEN SAY SHE WAS! I also got told that the cash advance is only found out up to 24 hours AFTER you file with them. THIS SHOULD BE STATED BEFORE FILING LIKE MOST COMPANIES AND ONLINE TAX PLACES SAY! This lady of 30 years was unprofessional, uneducated, a liar, and doesn't know how to listen when people want a quote. I will NEVER be going back, because of this terrible experience with this lady and company. Paying WAY over price for a simple tax return, because she didn't do the damn quote that was asked for originally."
