"Friendly, knowledgeable staff that are very accommodating of your schedule, but BEYOND overpriced. The only reason for 2 stars vs zero is that my preparer, Rose, was very knowledgeable and kind and helpful. I was confident in everything she did because of her confidence and experience. If you have difficult or lengthy returns, then this is probably a good place to go. If you're like me though and don't, muddle through and do it yourself. I understand that skilled staff don't come cheaply. But I also understand that I just paid someone for 35 minutes of data entry for my very simple return, what took me literally 12 hours at my full time job to earn. I will only return to H&R Block if life changes cause my return to be difficult next year."

"If I could do less than one star I would. I was quoted $58 over the phone and told them exactly what I had just a standard w2 no extras at all. At the end of the apt they tryes charging me $160 and the lady said she isn't the one who quoted me and all she could do was give me a $25 discount. Then to top it off they said my return would only be something like $530 which didn't seem at all right to me since I had paid in almost $6000. At that point I decided to leave and file myself on turbo tax which was completely free and extremely easy and I ended up getting almost $2000 back. I would not recommend them to anyone, hands down worst tax prep experience I have ever had!!"
