"The man's a crook..I rented the space for an event and stay..had me pay vrbo for stay..had me pay him directly for the event..I got there castle garbage cans filled and stinking and back yard filled with trees .leaves and beer cans..my family cleaned the space for the event while he was paid for this! Had the event cleaned th3 castle and left..infrmd my vrbo deposit was taken because flowers were left in the back yard and a pan in the dish washer..1 we paid him directly for the event space so the deposit with vrbo had nothing to do with it..then the pan in dish washer wasn't even ours..I never used the washer..I complained to vrbo..they didn't do anything said I should never had paid him a fee outside of their site..and he got to keep my deposit This event was my wedding and my family and I didn't want to let these things ruin my day! So we handled it..but here I am some time later seeing reviews pop up saying this guy will say and do anything to keep your deposit and I MUST AGREE! I was 1 of the people who gave 5 stars on vrbo..because I loved the space over all and my guest did too..but as per the events that let up to and after our stay was appalling..and when he went after my deposit..the review was closed and I could not update!!"

"Cool little castle feel to the place, with a beautiful view overlooking Lake Travis Full Disclosure: building is most likely not up to code, and the stairs are pretty dangerously close together..outside and in, use caution when using stairs. I wouldn't recommend bringing small children to stay here. However, if you're a rational thinking adult, it's a perfect place to tie one on, or just take it all in for some quiet time. The open windows in each sleeping area wake you up to that breath taking view each morning..a nice little fantasy escape, worth the price? Not sure I'm convinced...we will just have to agree to disagree on that one."

"Not sure how the captain got five stars, but it's definitely not as nice as the pictures. The "castle" is next to the owners house, who is a pack rat of epic proportions. Navigating his "dock" is like a course off American ninja warrior. Be prepared to loose your deposit cause he'll find any reason to keep it."
