"Took my bunny for stasis and to rule out an obstruction. She got blood work done, X-ray, UA, fluids, gut motility med and pain medication, then I was sent home with critical care, pain meds and veggies/hay for the hour ride back home. Worth the trip! She was already feeling more like herself when she came home. Started to eat hay, veggies, and then a few hours later, she finally passed some poops! Very happy with them and this was the first time me and my husband visited them. Thank you!"
"We changed to Midwest about two years ago for our library's red-eared slider, when we couldn't get in at our previous vet and have been coming here ever since. Our other vet was good, but the people here really offer above-and-beyond service. The vets we've worked with and talked to have been so caring and full of information. It makes us feel comforted knowing that they're very used to working with exotic pets (like reptiles) when other places may not quite have the same depth of knowledge. We've felt in good hands with them, and our turtle has been thriving!"
"The front desk was friendly, smart and ready to help me when I showed up to my appointment. The doctor jumped into action immediately to resolve the tooth that was painfully hurting my rabbit. The doctor took the best care of my rabbit. Loved the whole team!"
"I'll never take my Guinea pigs anywhere but Midwest Bird and Exotics for medical care. The vets and nurses were all very kind and helpful during a scary time for myself and my pet. They provided both great care of my piggy but also did a great job educating me on what to do for treatment. We live an hour away and it's well worth the drive for us. They even gave my little lady some snacks for the road!"
"This is the best exotic vets office i’ve ever taken my reptiles to. I had an emergency come up with my male leopard gecko earlier in the year. I had gone into his enclosure at around 10pm and immediately noticed a hemipenes prolapse starting. I searched around and decided to call midwest exotic to see if they’d be able to see him that night and they told me to come in right away. They warned me that there may be a 1-2 hour wait for emergencies, but once i got there he was able to be seen immediately. They got the prolapse repaired and stitched up very quickly and sent me on my way with medications. The follow up appointment went great and he healed without any issues. He is doing wonderfully now and has not had any other medical problems. This is the only exotic hospital i’ve been to that has not given me unsolicited, horribly outdated care advice regarding reptiles such as using red lights, carpet, tiny enclosures, no uvb etc.. The price was a bit steep, but that’s to be expected at an exotic hospital, especially for emergency care. I would absolutely bring my animals back here."
