"DO NOT GET PASSPORT PHOTOS at this location. Guy on duty literally said, "I hate doing this". I told him the photos were too dark that my features were hidden and was concerned that the passport office wouldn't approve using them. His response was, "I've never had anyone return photos". Upon a quick Google search, "why passport photos get rejected". Yes, "too dark", "too bright", "wearing glasses", etc. Thankfully, someone else on duty refunded my money. Then went to the Walgreens at LaGrange Highlands at Roosevelt and Mannheim and they took fantastic photos. In all fairness, the cameras provided by Walgreens for their staff to take photos are awful. So the ladies at the Roosevelt store use their own camera phones!"
"At 12:30pm on Nov30, we used the drive thru at 2 La Grange Rd, La Grange, with a prescription for a common antibiotic, which the doctor stressed needed to be taken right away. The tech said it would take an hour and a half. We went back two hours later, just in case, waited again in the long drive thru line, which is still better than waiting in the line inside the store, the tech gave a $400 quote. It appears that she had included two others prescriptions we did not ask for. According to her, they were on auto refill. We never signed up for that. Needless to say, I was not happy with the situation and declined the other meds. The tech, showed her displeasure by grimacing, making an unintelligible comment, and returning my credit card in such a way that it was an extreme reach for me to grasp it. A few months earlier I had left the following review: This Walgreen’s is just awful, primarily due to the wait. It always takes so long! My doctor phoned in a prescription for antibiotic eye drops and three hours later it had not been filled. The tech told me it would be another 40 minutes bc they have been busy. I also asked about an over the counter product, which was out of stock. The tech called on the loudspeaker for a clerk; she told me to wait and someone would come to help me. 15 mins later no one had appeared. I decided to leave. It was such a waste of a trip and time. Furthermore, more often than not, they have long lines at the pharmacy and at checkout, not enough seating, and several elderly people waiting. For the amount of money this place brings in, they should hire more employees! On another note, I strongly believe Walgreen’s takes advantage of the elderly who have United Healthcare supplemental insurance bc Walgreen’s is the only pharmacy they can use. Another incident: Called for a refill of a necessary Rx. I was told it would be ready by noon. Spent 15 mins waiting in drive thru as inside there was a line of seven people and not enough seating. Finally, it was my turn at the window. I was told Rx was not ready; it was 3:30, three and a half hours later than stated time. Tech said it would be another ten minutes to fill. She comes back with Rx, but with only 5 pills because they had run out. She charged $2 and said new shipment should arrive next day. Update: Picked up the rest of the Rx today. I was charged $36 for the 85 pills, which has gone up since last fall. When I asked how much was the total cost for 90 pills, I was told $36. So now, I had to pay an extra $2 because they had run out of the medication. Does this make sense? Come on Walgreen’s, Chicago’s pharmacy, you must do better!"
"A man with dyed blonde hair was extremely rude to my boyfriend and me. He was following us around and giving us dirty looks as if we were going to steal. I accidentally moved in line to go to the register and he told me to hold on a second, I said I was sorry and went back. He then proceeded to say in a rude tone that it was not my turn. I got confused and went to the register because the other people were staring at me and not going to the register. Do not work a customer service job if you are just going to treat customers like garbage and racially profile them."
"A fat guy working today was extremely rude to my mom. He was snarky and disrespectful when she asks for a price adjustment because something was incorrectly marked. She was very polite and he said “here you go you get a whole dollar back” in disgusting way. I love my mom so someone blatantly disrespecting her makes me infuriated. He not only clearly hated his job but hated being alive. I genuinely hope this man gets fired and gets mistreated by workers at every store he goes into. My mom is the sweetest human being on the planet so there was no reason for him to act like that."
"Super slow pharmacy. They also do not tell you when they don't have your prescription in stock and just cancel it with no notification. There's a reason people give it such bad reviews. I highly recommend getting your prescription filled elsewhere."
