"on 2/11/2019 My Husband meet with Thomey Finical to do our taxes as we are recently married and bought a house. According to Mike Thomey he was unaware of the Same sex marriage laws and if they were in fact the same as traditional marriage. After hearing this I called and spoke with Debra Gyurina Administrative Assistant. I stated that I didn't feel comfortable with the comment that was made and wanted to know if I could pick up our papers. She was incredibly rude and almost acted like she was happy we were going elsewhere for our taxes. When I arrived to pick up our documents Debra Gyurina Administrative Assistant Was even ruder in person then she was on the phone. She would not even acknowledge us. Our documents were on her desk in between other peoples finical paperwork. She would not even hand it to us. She had Mike Thomey had it to us. I'm 34 years old and I have never felt that I was being discriminated against. However, I believe we were discriminated against because of our sexual orientation. Mike Thomey made a comment about how he has never done taxes for a gay married couple. I feel that our sexual orientation should have never been brought up in the first place. It was completely unprofessional and made both of us feel very uncomfortable. Debra Gyurina Administrative Assistant, has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I would not recommend their services to anyone."
