Reviews of BFF Bikes
"I need a new bike after mine was stolen. I found the same model here and I had the best experience ever. I would recommend it to anyone."
"Very fast and quality repairs with kind staff. Appreciate the weekend hours. Had a spoke break on my winter commuter bike Saturday night; I stepped in Sunday morning, and they had the bike spoke replaced, wheels trued, and ready for pickup by that afternoon."
"Can not say enough good things about this place! I have been biking in the City for over 10 years and have been to countless bike repair stores and this is by far my favorite. Their staff never make you feel bad for not knowing everything about bikes and are very helpful in making you a better bike owner. Their events are also very practical, fun, and inclusive. I have attended their fix-a-flat and several of their rides and love the frequency and the welcoming atmosphere."
"I attended the October Fix-a-Flat Clinic and it was incredibly informative and helpful! Changing a flat has always been a daunting and intimidating task in my mind, but the team alleviated that anxiety and showed us anyone can do it. I now feel fully prepared and confident to tackle a flat tire should I get one on a future ride. Thank you!"
"Really disappointed in my experience. I wanted to try this shop instead of my normal shop because it's woman owned but really had an average experience. I came in and explained I was fixing up my old Schwinn to sell but the chain was skipping and I wasn't sure if it was a simple derailleur adjust or a more expensive problem. The person at the desk let me know the mechanic would be in in about 40 minutes but they'd call me. I walked back over 1 hour and 40 minutes later after hearing nothing, saw my bike up on the rack being worked on and said "OK, just checking in. I'll hang out a bit longer" then went outside to wait and read. Another 40 minutes pass, no one calls me. I walk back in to check and lo and behold bike is done and sitting there. No one explains the issue to me or asked what work I wanted done, though the mechanic is friendly and explains the problem once I ask. I am charged $23 for a derailleur adjust and new cable/housing but also told that it can't shift into all the gears because of the derailleur spring. I pay, leave, realize the chain is still slipping and moreover, the new bar tape I put on two days ago to sell the bike has grease all over it. I have had a lot of friends have really positive experiences here so I don't know if it was an off day or what but the communication could have been a lot better."
