"Had a grandfather clock that quit working, called the Chicago clock company,it took a month for them to come down to Kankakee. They worked on the clock for hour and couldn’t fix it. Said they have to rebuild the mechanism and that would be $1100. I said no way. A month later I found an other guy that works on clocks locally he took the clock and cleaned and fixed the pivot point that was worn out and charged me $80. A true clock repair man is a lost art. I also got a guarantee for ten years."
