Reviews of Animal Emergency Center
"Obviously no one wants to go to the vet for an emergency. I brought my cat Polgara to them after he had been throwing up all day. After dinner, he ended up throwing up a little blood, too, so we took him in. They were so kind, and gave me updates overnight, and told me that my bean was a gentleman. It was expensive to get the whole run through of tests to make sure he was okay - $1200 - but it was an emergency, and they were very quick, and wonderful to both beans and humans."
"They took our cat in, while the husband and I had to wait in the car. After about 20 min, we got the call from the doctor. I asked them to get our cat back to us while they are working on discharge papers, but they refused ( even after I offered a driver's license and credit card as assurance). I just wanted my sick elderly cat to be surounded by us while waiting. Young lady was rude, no compassion. Another young lady brought our cat out and went trough paper work with us. She was polite and nice. We decided to decline care and took our cat home. We just didn't feel comfortable with their standard of care. Doctors and nurses wear masks for a protection, but they dont separate patients from their family. Pandemic is over. I find this very unethical and contra therapeutic for patients. We chose this facility because it was Sunday and didn't have much of a choice. I would not recommend this place due to lack of transparency."
"We were not sure if our dog ingested an item, and when we called the vet they said to come in to see if they could get the item to come up (long story short he did ingest said item). They were super quick (it was in the evening around 8ish). My dog had very high anxiety, and we were immediately greeted by a very nice male nurse. I did not catch his name, but he instantly came to my dog’s side to make him feel better due to people not being allowed to come in. He sat in the door way until he was more comfortable, and the vet was also very helpful in explaining things, as well as the tech who helped give the medication. The girl who worked the front desk was helpful over the phone to decide the best care as well as getting all my paper work together and paying the bill."
"We had a kitten who must have gotten an infection in her wound from her spaying. So the wound opened up. Took her here, due to it being a Sunday, and they quoted us $1,295 to $1,698. There was all kinds of extra stuff included. Blood work, FIV test, and other stuff. In an emergency, I feel you need the basics, not all these extras. I am lucky my friend owns the rescue, I got the kitten from. She suggested getting antibiotics and pain meds only and following up with my vet the next day. So that is what I did. My vet did not even put the kitten under. She just used topical lidocaine and placed some staples. Charged me $35 since the kitten was seen the day before and had meds already. I feel they prey on the fact that you are scared and in need. Half the stuff on the quote was not needed. This is why people can not afford animals and dump them when injured. So sad."
"Leaving a review hoping the nurse that wanted to see Scars baby pictures will have a chance to see them. My honest opinion. I truly think they tried to save him as did I. He was just sick. The doc that euthanized him was a little insensitive and I didn’t care much for but all the other docs and nurses I had a pleasant experience with."
