"I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents. Very unhappy with this office. Last year taxes were done, no issues.....then the State of Illinois gave back rebates for Illinois tax payers of income and property tax. My parents called in October to find out where their rebate was, they were told they would get it. Well, they never got it and once I did research, I found out that a form had to be filled out by a certain date in October . This is now November. I contacted the tax preparer for her to say she didn't remember what she said or didn't say. I contacted Harrisburg office to find out that tax preparer didn't even file for Illinois State Tax so they would not even get their rebates. I was told by manager in Harrisburg, they would get filing fees back, haven't received them so far, main number for corporate hangs up on you when you ask for supervisor. Since Jackson Hewett is NOT standing behind my elderly parents in this situation, I have contacted BBB and local news! Absolutely ridiculous that one, they missed out on the tax rebates that anyone could use at this time. Second, now I have to worry about any tax implications they may have due to State of Illinois taxes not being filed. Horrible customer service!!!!!! This isn't the first time, taxes were messed up by this office! I didn't want to give any stars but had to give at least one to post the review! Sad!"
