"All I have to say is that I am SO glad my husband insisted on enrolling our son here. We are now on our third year at St. E and couldn’t be happier. When we initially enrolled our son in K, it was verrryyyyy last minute (I’m talking school started the following week) but Sandy helped us get everything together and made the enrollment process seamless. I believe they have tuition assistance or something but, regardless, the tuition is very reasonable. Communication is between staff and parents is excellent. Whenever I send an email, I usually don’t have to wait long for a response… Plus they have an app for school wide and class announcements which I find to be incredibly helpful. The actual curriculum is pretty solid. Along with the things kids would normally learn in a public school, they also learn about religion and they teach Spanish :). It really warms my heart when my son comes home talking about respect and being kind to others so I know they’re doing a great job of teaching the students to also be good people. I really couldn’t ask for more. We absolutely love it here and it feels like we are family. If you want a school that genuinely cares about your child, this is it."
"What a lovely parish! As a visitor I was welcomed warmly by not only members of the Parish congregation but by the pastor Father Russ as well. Father even offered to give me a tour of the church and the very vibrant school. There was a delightful peace that I encountered in this church- The Stain-glass window panels are beautiful and the statuary is delicate, and quite exquisite. (Reminded me of being in Italian churches.) The mosaic artwork decorating the chapel Ambon and altar are a nod to the importance of beautiful spaces to worship Our Father. Father Russ also shared with me the history of the needlepoint tapestries hanging on the main altar. The tapestries were stitched by hand by members of the Parish when Saint Elizabeth of Hungary was founded back in 1960. Fabulous. Talk about skin in the game! Don’t forget to turn around and see the full Stainglass window of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary that lights the choir loft. Best viewed from the front of the church. Simple elegance is what I found at this church. Highly recommend."
"Love hate relationship with the school. It’s just sometimes teachers don’t treat the students equally, oh this isn’t all of the teachers though. Most of them are really nice! Good school."
"The administration is a joke. Their only nice to you during enrollment. The remainder of the time they go out of their way to not look at you, not acknowledge you, and make you feel like you’re stupid. The neighborhood is dangerous and there is no sense of family or community within the school. They don’t have grandparents day or any tributes to family. It’s a cold, militant, non-communicative institution and I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy."
"I attended 1st through 3rd grades here when there were two buildings and a little church on the property. 1958-61 My firstborn was baptized here in 1976. Father was Monsignor Burns and my favorite teacher was named Sister Theresa. Those were the days of love."
