Reviews
"I initially obtained estimates for my pool replastering from three contractors, but I sensed from the start that this company was more focused on the integrity of the pool itself rather than just the aesthetics which is the main reason I chose them over the other two. My instincts turned out to be right on and critically important to resolving recurring leaking issues with the pool. Whether it was structural integrity or plumbing problems, the project manager, David McCauley, knew just what to do and which specialty crew to use to repair each new issue that came to light as the project progressed. Additionally, I can not give enough kudos to David as he was always very responsive, thoroughly communicative, knowledgeable and professional in all my MANY contacts with him throughout the several weeks I worked with this company. He even came to my home on a holiday weekend after the project was completed to help me figure out the valve settings on my pool equipment which (unknown to me!) had been changed by some of the crew members and as such prevented me from restarting the pool pump after refilling. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this company. My project was not cheap, but based on what they found and I saw myself, I have no doubt they corrected some problems that had been inherent in the pool since its construction."
"This was the worst experience i have had with a contractor. The guys actually sprayed plaster into all of my light mounts and drains and didn't seal the drains to begin with. Then i had to hire two different leak detection companies to actually tell them how to fix my pool because they didn't seal the drains adequately whatsoever. Once i told them i would go out there and fix it myself then they finally came after like 30 day. Mind you this is an airbnb so we have two months of lost rent.. then they tried to sue me with no communication after i had to tell them How to fix it! Buyer beware…… con artists that don’t manage their subcontractors! See you in court. Be aware of their shady practices…"
"The plaster looks good but the coping stone work is horrible (I'm only adding a few pictures). When I asked if someone will come to give it a nice finish, I've been told I have to pay extra. They didn't clean up after themselves (picture of my garage surround) Very bad communication during the entire process, the only time they are good at communicating is to collect money. I definitely don't recommend this company to anyone. Adding some pictures, so when they did the stone work, they didn't have the exact same stone for the junction between the pool and the hot tub, it was very close so I didn't mind. At that time the pool was empty, but then when the water flows, the stone is brown. We are also still trying to clean the tile and cut the back mesh popping between the grout and they installed the light and it's full of water, of course they take no responsibility for that either. it's a NIGHTMARE."
"OK, if you don’t like to read, then just look at the 5 stars. If you want to get my real impression on a very expensive project, read on. I contacted 7 companies about resurfacing my 20 year-old pool and replacing the tile in the pool and attached spa. I also did extensive research on the best surface. That research, my great experience with Brent Lewis, and my decision to use WetEdge pebble finish led me to choose Clear Solutions. We agreed on the price and I put down a 50% deposit in February 2020. Work was supposed to be done in April. Then bam, the pandemic hit. I was nervous about having the workers at my house and if this was a good time to be spending so much money. I contacted Clear Solutions and they agreed to refund my deposit in full and did so promptly. When we all settled into our new reality, I once again went back under contract with them to have the work done in October 2020. I was told the plaster would take a year to fully cure so that is why I have waited so long to write this review. The final product is amazing! I went with Signature Matrix Caribbean Blue, it definitely looked a bit smurfy at the beginning but as Brent said, it has cured and looks amazing now. They provided very specific instructions for the initial stages of curing. Follow them! I was a bit concerned with how it would feel on my feet since a friend redid his pool with a no-name pebble brand and it literally left cuts on the bottom of my my feet! Not our WetEdge. It feels amazing and our pool looks better than when it was originally constructed in 2001! The work crews were very respectful to my property. It is a messy job but they were smart about how they completed their work and now a year later you would have no idea that they were even here! In know this review is contradictory to some of the others but I feel obligated to share my good experience. It is just that, my experience. Do your research!"
"I was losing an inch of water daily, there were multiple blisters in the plaster and a lot of delamination throughout the pool. Clear Solutions Pool Plastering had me impressed the first time I talked to Michael. He was eager to pass information onto me and educate me on the options available. He noticed things about my pool none of the other estimators did. I made an initial color selection for the plaster options I was choosing from and confirmed it with my wife prior to signing the contract. I received my first bid of four bids from Clear Solutions. It was not the cheapest bid, but it had a much better description of the work to be performed. It included an extensive prep charge for plaster delamination, which I felt it needed. Without the prep, there could be an underlying problem that is found after replastering and I wanted it done right the first time. We went with Stonescapes Tropics Blue Mini Pebble plus a re-tile of the tile line. The Mini Pebble is expensive, but comes with a longer warranty and a nicer look. The work started on a Monday with draining the pool and Tuesday a crew started demo. There were a couple of days where no work was done on my pool, but they had the work finished by the following Monday (a week and a day). It took 2 days to fill the pool with water. My pool deck and yard was cleaned up and in good condition. We elected to have the pool chemical startup done as well. I asked for the CYA level to be set to 35 and it ended up at 60. After I drained a portion of my pool and refilled, they returned for another service and reimbursed me for the extra water. I am glad that they were willing to correct this problem."
