"Stay CLEAR of this pool company! I’ve called and emailed every day for a YEAR for them to finish our mastic around our pool and have had zero luck! Not to mention the decking is splitting and it’s not even 2 yrs old! They are terrible at communicating, they refuse to answer their phone or touch base through email. TERRIBLE COMPANY, if I could give them zero stars I would!"
"Chaparral Pools - A Disappointing Experience Today, I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience with Chaparral Pools, owned by Sam Die and his wife Elizabeth. My intention is to provide an honest account of my encounter with their services in order to warn others and potentially spare them from similar distress. It has now been an exasperating 10 months since we embarked on the journey of building our dream pool, and regrettably, it remains incomplete. Throughout this arduous process, I have encountered numerous issues that have left me disheartened and frustrated. Allow me to highlight some of the most significant concerns: * Spray Deck Job not done: Despite our agreement, Chaparral Pools failed to fulfill their responsibility of completing the Spray Deck job. Consequently, we had no choice but to independently hire another company to perform the task. * Unfinished Sump Basin and Lack of Communication: The sump basin, a crucial component of our pool's drainage system, was left incomplete without any explanation or communication from the company. I later discovered that a pump needed to be installed to prevent rainwater and pool overflow from flooding into our home's foundation. Sadly, this negligence went unnoticed for several months, causing some visible damage. * Pool Cleaning Equipment Omitted: Despite the inclusion of pool cleaning equipment in our contract, Chaparral Pools failed to provide the necessary tools for pool maintenance, including the very expensive vacuum robot. This lack of fulfillment further undermines their credibility and leaves us burdened with additional expenses. * Neglected Backyard Fence Replacement: To my dismay, the removal of our backyard fence, as outlined in the contract, was never followed up with a replacement. This blatant oversight not only demonstrates their lack of professionalism but also exposes our property to potential security risks. * Deteriorating Communication: It deeply saddens me to admit that the communication from Chaparral Pools deteriorated drastically after we made the initial payments. They became increasingly unresponsive and failed to address our concerns promptly, leaving us feeling ignored and undervalued as customers. * The pool plaster that was installed was not the one we requested, as well as there are a lot of other smaller issues with the pool that were never addressed. Considering the unfair and unprofessional treatment I have experienced, it is with a heavy heart that I express my skepticism regarding the reliability and fulfillment of any warranty promises made by Chaparral Pools. Now, I turn to you my fellow neighbors, seeking your guidance and support. If anyone has encountered similar issues with Chaparral pools or has any suggestions on how to rectify this situation, I would be immensely appreciate. Please share your valuable experiences and suggestions in the comments below. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate your support in helping others being aware. Sincerely, Kleber Alanis"
"The contractor they use for building the pool itself is great (hence the 2 stars) - the rest is horrible. Re-did the fireplace 3 times, the travertine was cracking, but they fixed it during the construction. The crew who did the decking re-did it 4 times and it was still bad. We wanted to sue, but figured we'd never see our money anyways. Had to re-do the decking just 3 years later with another contractor. They never gave us the warranty paperwork at the end of the project, just disappeared into thin air."
"I hired Chaparral to complete an inground pool and patio and paid them almost 6 figures for this job. I had a number of issues that needed to be rectified and was given the runaround for 2 years before I finally took them to court and won. Of course they never followed the court judgement and paid what was owed to me so still having to jump through hoops to recoup my money. Save your time, energy and money and choose a different contractor."
"Chaparral Pools is a great company to work with. They are very Knowledgeable about what they do which is everything outdoors for your home including pools. I highly recommend this company and look forward to doing future business with them, they stick with you until end of build. A+"
