"The jewelry is beautiful. I agree with the one person’s comment about the complete lack of customer service. I even had a manager apologize to me for the rudeness of a salesperson. I went in today and stood in the store for a while before a staff member came up and asked if I needed assistance. This may be the last time I am buying a DY piece."
"I visited some years ago to purchase a necklace and had an amazing experience with Nicole - the single star is for Nicole's lasting impression. I came back to learn about a few pieces I was interested in, and this time, the overall experience & service was lackluster; I didn't feel like my time and business was valued. I walked in and was greeted from afar, nobody came up to us. Two SA's were in conversation with each other in the right room of the store... I walked up to them, & the blonde SA out of the two chose to help us. She was cut and dry, not necessarily nice. A dead look in her eyes. Friendly for the sake of being friendly, like someone who doesn't like you at a party but is forced to talk to you. Not conversational in any way. When I asked her questions, she didn't speak to any of the jewelry as a teaching moment, highlight the design or material elements, or elaborate on the pieces I was interested in. She was rushing me. I tried asking why she liked David Yurman, what sets the brand apart from competitors, and it wasn't the best experience. Sloppy, cold, & rude. It's not that I expect you to go above & beyond (trust me, I get it) but when you've experienced such GOOD service before, you kind of realize "well, this is... different." This isn't Hermès, mind you. I did, however, try on a few pieces they brought me. Unfortunately the only mirror in Men's is on the door leading to back of house. Was a bit awkward with the other SA's running to the back & having to wait for me while I glanced in the mirror. I do appear very young for my age, but you never know who has money or the type of clientele you can build. I really loved the pieces I was eyeing and was more than ready to purchase the necklace and bracelet set, but I ended up playing along with the vibe and made it appear I wasn't interested. Ended up leaving with a bad taste in my mouth & won't be returning to this location. I mainly shop at Tiffany's for basics and have had amazing experiences where the staff are knowledgeable and polite - I suppose I'll take my business back. Some feedback: at least try to make it look like you care about your job, you like working there, put on a smile, & read up on the Designer notes."
"Bought the men’s Boxchain bracelet for my husband & 2 sons as gifts- all the same on different occasions.. when purchasing, I was not advised of the faulty clasp that many customers have had with is bracelet & when 2 of the 3 clasps displayed weak springs, I took them in for repair, assuming it was bad chance. The 3rd & most recent purchase fell off my sons wrist and is gone forever. Davis Yurman has admitted this is a manufacturer issue and have redesigned the clasp for future bracelets & will replace the clasp on my 2 remaining bracelets but will not replace the faulty lost bracelet. Very poor business move."
"Sandra, is the absolute best! We were instantly greeted as soon as we walked in, even with the store being rather busy at the time. Sandra was patient and so knowledgeable with my fiancé and I as we were browsing and trying on several wedding bands. Not once did I feel rushed as I was going back and forth trying to decide between 2 different bands. We are from out of state, so Sandra had our rings shipped to our home and has been in communication with us every step of the way. The entire team at the Oakbrook David Yurman storefront was so kind. My fiancé also got my Christmas gift from this location, and based on that experience alone we knew this was the perfect place to go for our wedding bands. We are happy returning customers!"
"Wow! Excellent service at this location. JEB was the associate that helped me find the perfect gift for my husband for Valentine's Day and to wear to the 2017 First Look Black Tie Charity Event Chicago Auto Show. He literally tried on every bracelet I was interested in. I appreciate his patience as I wasn't sure exactly which bracelet I wanted. Eventually all the associates and security guard were engaged in a conversation with me at once. They sure made me feel welcomed and comfortable while shopping!"
