Galvan Acres I

"Do not stay here. It’s a beautiful home, but your right to privacy is violated. They live on the property in like an in law house or a garage that they converted to a housing space. There are no blinds on the windows. So the hosts can pop over and look at what you’re doing. My guest and I felt like we were being watched. Just like in those horror films. When trying to get to the hot tub you have to walk through a muddy path which then you have to try to clean off prior to getting into the hot tub or going back inside. They say that the house is secluded, but it’s not. It’s right off a main road and there are stores etc. when they state they live on the next property. It’s a lie, the house is on the same property. This in violation of your right to privacy. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that someone was outside the window staring inside. Finally when we left, they didn’t even wait until we left to come out of the house. Nope they stared at us and walked over to the main house. I do not recommend to stay here it was creepy."

"Had my sisters baby shower here and everything was amazing! Plenty of space for big families! Set up of Dj , tables, chairs , food and dessert table had an easy access. All questions and concerns where attended to in a timely manner.Definitely looking forward to booking more and creating more wonderful memories!"

"I held my baby shower at Galvan Acres and it was beautiful!! That backyard was big enough to host all our guests and then some! Barbara was an amazing host I 10000/10 recommend to anyone looking to have any party or gathering!"

"I highly recommend Galvan Acres I. We hosted a Halloween/Birthday party this year at Galvan Acres and it was such a wonderful experience. The home is beautiful, the yard is large and peaceful and private and the location could not have been better. Close enough to everything we needed for the party, but if you stepped outside into the huge yard you'd never know you were close to anything at all. Beautiful and quiet and relaxing. The house is layed out wonderfully, with a full basement area for playing pool or other games and plenty of rooms and beds for all the guests on the second floor. Everything was perfectly cleaned and in brand new condition. You can really tell how much pride they take in keeping the home nice. We we're provided with all the comforts of home, and our host was very responsive for everything we might have needed. Even some silly things we forgot to bring, they had us covered! We will definitely be back, and can't say enough good things about this beautiful home and our hosts!"

"This is my family’s second time at Galvan Acres. We have experienced it in both summer and winter and have enjoyed making memories here with our loved ones. The home provides a huge indoor and outdoor space for play, fun, and relaxation. In the summer we went for a family event, we made s’mores and chased/catched fireflies in the huge backyard. It felt like we were out camping. We visited the Field Museum in Chicago where we saw one of our favorites “Sue The World’s T-Rex” among other dinosaurs. In the winter we enjoyed the Navy Pier Christmas lights and riding the Ferris wheel. While we were there, we did the hot cocoa boat ride overlooking the city lights—it was amazing! World of Illumination Christmas lights at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL, only a few miles from Galvan Acres, it was one to remember with its music synchronized lights. We also visited the Starbucks Reserve and Space Museum The Adler Planetarium in Chicago, and my boys LOVED LEGOLAND that was only 30 mins away from Galvan Acres. The location and landscaping of home provide privacy while being in town close to grocery stores etc. There is plenty to do for all ages in the home, and with it’s proximity to nearby cities; it makes the perfect getaway oasis. You will not be disappointed. The host is very professional, nice, and informative. She answered all our questions!"
