"I normally really like the folks that work at the Carbondale Kays. They usually go above and beyond for me. Several years ago, I purchased a 1 carat emerald cut diamond to wear on my right hand. A couple of years later I decided I wanted a diamond contour band to go with it. so a year later I decide I really wanted another contour band to go on the bottom of the emerald cut diamond. The store called and found one and had it shipped to their store. I was called and an appointment was set up for me to come in to size it and have it soldered to what I currently have. I drove the 45 minutes to the store, only to have the clerk say, Oh! I forgot to call you and tell you our system is down. I had other shopping to do in the area, so I agreed it was ok to come back. I was promised a call back, which I never got. Another ring that I was having sized had come in, so my husband and I drove the 45 minutes back to the store. Upon walking in the door, the clerk exclaimed, Oh you're here to finalize the repairs for your band. I said, well we need to talk about that. I explained that we had been loyal customers for over 30 years and I was not happy about the customer service I had received this time. I am a big believer in good customer service. So I stuck to my values and beliefs and actually returned the band that I really did want. The manager was there and offered shipping to a store closer to my home, but there aren't any. I was calm and did not yell or anything, and calmly explained why I was returning. So if your work in a high end retail store, make sure you are giving the best customer service to everyone."

"The Carbondale Kay Jewelers location is our all time favorite. A few years ago, a couple months before we got married we ran in the store looking for ring as we had put it off until the last minute. Mindy and Lora were so helpful, found us the perfect rings, and made sure we had them in time! Ever since then we made the extra drive just to visit the Carbondale location. They are so helpful, kind, and they really make you feel like family! We will be returning customers to this store for the years to come!"
