"JS Martial Arts is hands down the best Judo Club in Illinois and Head Coach Master Koo is amazing! There are beginner and advanced Judo group classes for kids and adults. There are special competitive training programs available for Professional Judo athletes to help prepare for the competitions. Master Koo brings more than 20 years of Judo coaching experience in the US and Internationally. He has completed his Judo Coaching education in South Korea, where he began his Judo coaching career. He coached the US National Olympic Judo team at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center. His students won multiple awards and medals in various Judo competitions in the United States, including the International US Open Judo Competition, North American International Judo Championship, US National Judo Championship, International Junior Olympic Judo Championship, and many other Judo tournaments. Free trial practice is available for new members. Highly recommend JS Martial Arts Judo club to learn the amazing Olympic sport of Judo!"
"As a former US Olympic judo coach, Master Koo is knowledgeable and a fantastic teacher. There are numerous classes for both children and adults. I appreciate the way he is able to motivate younger kids (like my daughter) who would otherwise have difficulty listening. I attend the Monday/Friday judo class, and I enjoy the mix of technique practice, sparring, and general conditioning. Two one-hour classes each week have gotten me in better shape than I’ve been in since I was a high school athlete."
