"I trusted Chris with my 1 carat diamond studs. I wanted to have screw backs put on them to guarantee their safety. It was a horrible mistake. I received no word about my earrings for some time and when I checked on them he said they were done and charged me $80. He’d already taken the money when I looked and saw that no work had been done. He quickly said he had been mistaken; it was just the jeweler’s estimate. He’d send them back out. Again I received no notification so I went back. This time they were really ready. However, he wanted me to pay on my estranged husband’s pawn ticket. I told him I didn’t want to and that it would take everything I had to make that payment. He continued to pressure me, at one point stating, “Your earrings will always be here.” The next time I returned of course my earrings were nowhere to be found. No apology, no compensation. It’s my fault for not getting them sooner."
