Reviews of Sam L Majors Fifth Generation Jewelers
"Took my watch in too be cleaned , Cassie was very professional and knowledgeable about different watch models . I'll be buying new one from her soon ."
"I didn’t have the best experience unfortunately. My husband bought me a ring there which is beautiful, and I’ve taken a couple bands to get resized that were purchased a long time ago. For our 10th wedding anniversary we both went in to get my solitaire diamond placed into a custom ring we had made. It was a custom Simon G and they asked me to take it to a local jeweler since my diamond wasn’t with them, it was here in Midland. As we began looking around the store, intending to purchase a necklace for our daughter, Marcus came out of the back, didn’t say hello just asked “Who did you get this ring from?” he seemed upset and I answered it was custom from Simon g. He said “you know, we are a retail store, not a repair shop” and how he is in business to make money and not do repairs on rings he didn’t sell. He told us he wouldn’t send in my ring to have the diamond reset. I was stunned, I used to work in a jewelry store and my sister is a Master Appraiser, and I know asking to do a simple jewelry job isn’t something to be shamed for. No it doesn’t make as much money as selling jewelry, but you still make some profit and most importantly, you maintain the relationship with a client for when they are ready for a jewelry purchase. And we did buy a ring from him in February, so I’m not sure why we were spoken to that way. And we were going to buy something that day too! The way he spoke to us was really rude and like we were asking him to do something outrageous. He was clearly very irritated at us. So we just left. It was awkward and really unprofessional. There was no reason to speak to us that way. He was just really angry that we didn’t buy it from him. I get it but it would have been more professional to be nice to us and not chastise us like we are little kids. I will never go back there. Btw, we ended up going to D’Carroll’s jeweler and he was WONDERFUL. Super down to earth, knew his stuff and was more than happy to talk to us about what we needed. Highly recommend D’Carroll."
"This place is incredible, one of the Pins on my Rolex Datejust slipped out of place, I originally took it downtown to Cristiani's, the person I spoke to there was pretty rude, telling me he wouldn’t touch my watch, and wouldn’t help me because my watch has been modified (it is completely covered in diamonds) so I took it to Sam’s, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they actually fixed my watch for free. They definitely have my business from here on out. A+"
"Absolutely outstanding customer service - you could definitely tell it’s a family owned business. My fiancé and I stopped in to get him sized for his wedding band and to ask a few questions about his cross necklace and my engagement ring. We felt like we were talking to a friend rather than a worker that we’d never met before!"
"My experience with Sam L. Majors was absolutely fantastic! My engagement ring just came in and is everything I was hoping it would be. Everyone I worked with was extremely friendly and attentive. Marc worked directly with me to design my ring and have it made quickly. He was easy to get in touch whenever I had a question or had different thoughts on my design. In addition, he was extremely cognizant of our budget and never tried to persuade us to upgrade to a larger sized diamond or a more expensive design. I would highly recommend working with their team to get exactly what you want!"
