"I have been doing my own taxes for some time but I bought some investment property and I thought that the expertise might help. However, I was pretty price sensitive a few of the firms I called in the local area was charging $800+ for my returns which I don't believe are very complicated. When I called West & Company and explained my return the gentlemen told me it would be around $500 and I hired them. Overall, the service was pretty decent all handled via email and 2 phone calls which is pretty convenient. My return was lower than any previous 5 years but the employee informed me that my wife's W-4 has a mistake so can't hold it against the firm. Unfortunately when I received my bill it was $825.00, a whopping 65% increase to the price I was quoted. I attempted to contact the firm via 2 emails & a phone call to have a discussion about my bill but was never contacted back. I've paid my bill but won't be going back to this firm."
