"AlphAs is hands down the best gym in Highland. When I was looking for a gym almost a year ago, I toured all the area gyms and just loved the vibe, variety of classes and workout equipment. Travis didn't try to sell us anything, he just said come in and try it and see for yourself. As someone with gym anxiety, who had been working out at home for 2 years - I was comfortable but I was looking to push myself. The environment here is like no other, Travis and Laura really care about everyone, and it truly feels like a family. Want classes? They have a lot of variety to choose from and all the coaches are so helpful and just fun to work with. From boxing to weightlifting you will not get bored and that was so important to me! On days I can’t do a class, I work out alone and have always had helpful people or a coach around in the gym to guide me as I was learning the equipment. If you're looking for a gym, try it. If you're scared to try it alone, post it on the Highland community page and there are always people looking for gym buddies or will try a class with you! That’s how I got started and it’s been amazing!"
"If you live in Highland, or the general area, and aren’t going to Alphas what are you doing!? But seriously, this gym is amazing. Travis (the owner) is the most supportive guy you’ll ever meet and genuinely cares about your success. And the tribe is equally amazing to boot. If you’re tired of going to a gym with unfriendly people check out alphas! It will totally change your mindset"
"It’s Travis, the Owner of AlphAs!!! Yes, it’s my gym. This is the 100th Google Review which is pretty cool… but it wouldn’t be right to review the gym because I know it’s awesome and the best and family and hard and the best 2nd home ever. So instead I’m going to review the Tribe! (dramatic music plays) I’ve worked out since I was 17yrs old and never seen such a fun/social/supportive gym membership as this place. The friendships created here have been strong, with many great memories and adventures outside the gym, and most of all I see everyone rooting like crazy for each other. I’ve seen the most intimidating looking people smile like idiots when watching someone hit pr’s. I’ve seen OG members walk to a new member in a boxing class and help, because they remember what it was like. When I think back about all the celebrations we’ve had at the front counter… all the laughs and hugs… it’s become far More than Just a Gym because of this crazy wonderful Tribe. When I built AlphAs I envisioned an old-school California style Iron Church to lift weights with boxing and lots of room to do great things. Then I wanted several hundred friends to come work out with me. That’s exactly what has happened. There have been so many absolutely key people that walked through the door and from that day, never really left. Members have moved away and messaged me saying they have looked high and low for a gym like AlphAs with no luck. What? You can’t find a leg press? You can’t find somewhere with heavy bags? Of course they can. What they are missing is all of us! And holy hell there would indeed be so much to miss. So, from Laura and I, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Please find me if you ever need anything and let’s keep piling up wins."
"Kid friendly. I started at this gym solely because I could bring my kids. This has been the best year ever. No, the kids aren't keeping you from working out. No, they aren't crying and screaming. Yes, they are learning how to take care of their bodies in today's world. So if you don't have kids- no problem. But if you do... I brought a pack n play. Some bring strollers. Normally mine sit on the big couch and play on their tablets. I have had my kids do workouts with me. Now my 5 year old goes to the gym with me to 'get stronger like spiderman' :) I did lose weight last year, but that was largely due to my diet change. My muscle tone, mental health (I am off adhd and antidepressants now), body image, ability to lift my kids, hiking endurance, etc... that was all AlphAs. There is a direct correlation between overweight parents and overweight children. You would die for them, right? So now you need to LIVE FOR THEM."
