"Honored to even meet Grandmaster Fuechsel. He has a LOT of unique experience with the United States Olympic team and founded PRO TKD which Tracy Morgan hosted on ESPN2 in addition to his regular martial arts experience. Class is awesome. He has the ability to teach all levels and can pinpoint how to help each individual. I'm a 60-year-old desk jockey (CPA) so the training is a great diversion that will lead to better health and self-discipline. Being able to defend yourself is another awesome benefit."
"I have been a student of Grandmaster Fuechsel for 18 years, having had the privilege of his instruction and guidance throughout. A professional martial artist and true warrior of half a century, Grandmaster Fuechsel embodies authentic Taekwondo. From Korea to the Olympic Games and ESPN, he has trained thousands of students and hundreds of black belts, as well as several national champions. He is the second generation student of one of the original masters instrumental in Taekwondo’s founding. Grandmaster Fuechsel has owned and operated a dojang (martial arts school) since the early 1970’s, and continues to serve on the board of numerous organizations. He is the former US Olympic Training Center Team Captain and President of the United States Taekwondo Committee (USTC). He has been highly decorated both for ability and for his contribution to Taekwondo, and is characterized by unwavering strength, discipline and honor. Both Grandmaster and Mrs. Fuechsel (who is herself, a highly skilled and accomplished martial artist and educator) are responsible for the growth in confidence, purpose and virtue for myself and countless others. Whether you are five or eighty five, there is no better place to begin your martial arts journey."
"Master Fueschel teaches with kindness and humor. We are lucky to have an internationally recognized instructor who loves all that the sport can give to his students. He teaches his students appropriately for their level, and we are all getting better together. Taekwondo is more than getting a workout or going to a tournament, but not all instructors in the area will teach more of the art which makes USTC-QC unique. I came in with experience and Master Fueschel always has feedback on how I can improve my technique which I appreciate. He has patience to let me try until I get it right, and I continue to learn and be challenged. He welcomes visitors, and you do not need to be a Level II/TBK member to be a part of USTC-QC."
"Me and my husband decided to take Taekwondo together for some marriage bonding/building. We recently celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. It has been good for us to spend time together twice a week doing something that neither of us are very good at. It has definitely been character building, since our bodies do not have any muscle memory for the kicking and punching we are learning. The upside is we are working on strength, cardio, balance and flexibility. Doug & Heather Fueschel are very patient instructors and they have been very supportive in helping us each to achieve our individual goals related to learning Taekwondo late in life. You should come out and join the fun on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30-6:30 pm at TBK in Bettendorf, IA. You will be glad that you did!"
