"My kid loves her therapist but I keep hoping she will move to another practice. This is the most unwelcoming, unfriendly therapy office you'll ever find. It feels temporary, and confuses new patients because the receptionist sits behind a solid door with no window. Even if your kid has a standing appointment for the same time every other week, you can only make 3 appointments at a time and at least 1/3 of them will mysteriously disappear."
"This was my experience, i can’t speak for others. My daughter was referred to the facility for an evaluation. I called to schedule an appointment and one of nurses on staff asked me if I was scheduling a therapy apt or an evaluation/medication and I said I know I’m scheduling an evaluation, not sure about the medication part since we don’t even know what the outcome would be? She then proceeded to become extremely pushy saying that I had to agree to medicine or they wouldn’t book the apt / then back tracked of sorts and said it’s more that they try to “weed” out parents who may not want to pursue medication. A few things wrong with this , a nurse is never ever allowed to say or push the things that she did in that call. I think there is a nurse licensing board she can be reported too. There also is a psychiatry board, even tho I didn’t make it that part, should they be alerted that they are medicine push happy or at least that’s how someone on their staff is making it sound. You should NEVER ever ever have to agree that you are pro medication just to have your child seen. Because then what is the point of the evaluation if the outcome is just going to be “ meds” case closed. Are the scripts pre written at this point ? And the irony is, I’m not opposed to medication if someone can explain to me the reasons/benefits, etc. I am opposed to someone trying to force someone into agreeing to it without any explanation - evaluation, much less LITERALLY on a phone call to make a simple apt. Tried to voice my concerns to the office manager and I am now on day 3 of not returning my calls, so I wouldn’t waste your time going that route. I can’t speak for every child, maybe there is many that they have helped but ANY practicing medical office who has someone on staff along with an office manager who doesn’t care , that thinks it’s ok to brow beat a new patient / parent into saying yes im pro meds just to get on their books, is not one I would EVER entrust a child too."
"My son sees Dr Robinson and I couldn't be happier with him. We moved over an hour away and we still drive to see him. My only complaint is with the waiting room. I thought this place was meant for kids but the waiting room is very dull and "un happy". My son has anxiety and he did not like waiting in there. Dr Robinson's office was much more relaxed and child oriented."
"Wish it were 5, very expensive for a one size fits all approach and a psychiatrist who views every kid the same. If you want to find a path to recovery do not let this center ruin it for you, find somewhere where people will treat you as if they have hearts. Best to you."
