"Worst place to go for mental health Patrick is a case manager downstairs in the adolescent hallway and accuses every one of faking there illness and being drug dealers and he doesn't communicate anything with anyone my kid dislocated his knee and they made him stay cold and soaking wet and doctor wadual took my kid off his main antidepressant and left it as that the worst staff ever."
"I came here on Saturday October 28th for mental health help. I told the intake staff I was NOT actively suicidal and yet they petitioned me anyway, making me legally unable to leave. I have now been stuck here for 3 days on the basis from Dr. Wood that I keep having panic attacks, which is not a legal reason to hold someone. I've stated multiple times to multiple professionals I am NOT suicidal and they're keeping me anyway over panic attacks. Is this even legal? I don't know. I just know if you come here expecting mental health help, human decency, and timely treatment this is NOT the place for you. If I could rate this stay negative stars I could because I legitimately have a new layer of PTSD to work through now. All this ER stay do was severely damage my mental health. Margaret Cornelius was the only behavioral health technician who understood me and met my needs. She was fantastic at her job, unlike Dr Wood."
"I brought my 7yr old daughter here for labs and an X-ray ordered by her specialist at childrens memorial. We arrived at 8am because we were instructed to have the labs done first thing in the AM. We were not called back until 9:30 am. They never sent the labs to the specialist and when they were requested we discovered they failed to complete two of the labs ordered. The X-ray results were also never forwarded to the ordering physician and when requested. They said they had no record of it being done. I took a picture of the hand X-ray personally… there lack of diligence and over all health CARE is disheartening and down right frustrating."
"If there was negative would give that. Came in to ER this morning with my dad after getting a call from my Primary care Doc, who mentioning that my dad’s Blood work results came in abnormal and he need to get to ER as soon as possible. Came into 8:45am and between then and now 4:30 pm they have only have taken blood and 1 ct scan only no treatment at all so far. Spoke to doctor in ER (will not use name) and he looked at the results from blood work that was done while waiting in ER and mentioned he needs to be admitted and be pit on IV. It will be almost 8 hours and not a sing drop of iv is given to the patient who my primary can and doc in ER believes to be put on IV ASAP. Walked up to desk asking for an ETA on treatment was asked for name which i gave and at first was told they do not see Him and after sometime they found him. Clearly a problem with communication and lack of prioritization. Any way continuation, when i ask for ETA again and i was told that they are busy and they do not have eta and that they have order from doctors to admit him and needs to be put on iv. They will let us know when they are ready to admit. Again No a ETA. Seems this hospital clearly DO NOT no concept / meaning of ER."
"Complete joke of a facility. There is zero communication between departments and the people that work there could care less. A bunch of lazy and unknowledable health care providers in a disorganized mess of a hospital. Customer service is completely useless and even has the audacity to give you attitude. I had to call multiple departments multiple times in order for my paperwork to successfully get to the outpatient clinic. My treatment involved getting shots weekly. First they brought up the wrong prescription from the pharmacy so I had to explain that it was the wrong drug. The nurse came back and then asked "so this is your first round of injections right?" WRONG. It was my second round, glad she was paying attention. From there, she asked me where my hip was.....interesting question to ask a patient. This eventually turned into me assisting her with giving me the shot, luckily for me my occupation involves working with healthcare providers and engineering medical devices so I am aware of how to properly administer a shot....unlike the nurse I had apparently. This process also took 90 minutes......yep, 90 MINUTES it took for them to get me in a room and give me a shot. Then she commented once we were done "okay I'll be seeing you tomorrow at what time?" I gave her a puzzled look as the treatment regimine calls for weekly shots. Low and behold I realized that they wrote the script for every day rather than weekly. I thank God for my background knowledge in the healthcare industry and that I had my wits about me during this process . What happens when you are out of sorts and are forced to rely on the people around you for your health and well being? Based on the wrong directions written for the prescription in addition to bringing up the wrong drug the first time and having to assist the nurse with administering my shot, I just had to laugh at this place. Also noticed some interns that could care less that they were there too. My advice would be if you even SLIGHTY care about yours or someone else's health and well being, please please please do not come here. If this is how they handled administering a shot at an outpatient clinic I can only imagine how they handle life threatening situations. There's plenty of great hospitals in the Chicagoland area, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere."
