"I attended new student orientation this past Friday. There were a couple of reds flags. But, my biggest concern is that student services is only one person. That’s right, only one person. Student services has everything to do with academic success as far as questions, tutoring, simulations and I can go on. And not to mention the new class has over 80 people. She’s going to be spread thin and she’s also furthering her education. I assume it’s to get up out of Chamberlain because they are not it. There is no way all of the new students or current students are going to be able to utilize her. It’s ridiculous. And we are being charged for student services it’s 200.00 per session. Please hire somebody to help this lady because you can tell she’s not happy. I seen her in the hall talking to someone and she was on the verge of breaking down. I’m going to try my best to get through because it looks like I’m going to be on my own."
"I graduated in April 2021. Before you go here you must know what kind of student you are. The curriculum is tough, especially if you have no prior healthcare experience. Also understand this school is for profit so the first year they want to get the most out of student tuition while focusing on weeding out students the second year as they need high NCLEX scores. The program is tough but achievable. You need to have self motivation. We lost half, if not more of our class by the second year. It was sad to see students fail who are now stuck with $20k plus loans and no degree. Also get your gen Ed’s at a community college. This school is doable but it’s on you. Pros: BSN in 2 1/2 years, some great professors Cons: extremely expensive, high staff turnover, horrible communication from multiple departments"
"I had a terrible experience with this school. They DON'T communicate at all! I feel like they just wanted my money (which I don't have) then wanting me to learn. Nobody knew anything when I would ask questions and they just do not seem to care.. I got COVID and I told both my professors and even the dean. My professors NEVER reached back out to me or even told me that I did not have to be in class or that I could even post pone taking a test or quiz. So i did awful because I was too sick to be doing anything. But they did not even try to tell me it was like they wanted me to fail. I have never felt so stressed in my life then i have been at this school. Then I did very well on my finals but they still wouldn't pass me because I did not get a 76 percent but I was .2 percent behind. Also They put me on a LOAN that I had no idea they did that and now thanks to them I am 16,000 + dollars in debt. So don't let them fool you be careful when debating going to this "school" Let me add on to why this school has disappointed me. They let me do an appeal and when it came down to deciding if I could get my academic dismissal off my record they DENIED ME and for an explanation they gave me a one sentence answer which I find totally bs. They had attitudes with me from the start and seemed to already have their minds made up on their decision before talking with me. Also they have charged me over 500 dollars for classes I didn’t take due to academic dismissal. So again they don’t care about their students as much as they do money highly suggest looking elsewhere. Very disappointed with my experience there."
"This is review is not written by Joshua Hughes it is being written by Pamela Hughes.. I obtained my BSN from Chamberlain. The student services never advised me that my financial aid was reached but allowed me to continue on with my education. Graduated December of 2012. Since then I received official transcripts several times and even my diploma. I reached out to them a few weeks ago to continue on for my FNP and was advised that I owed them over 7,000. I work for a college and I know for a fact that if a student owes money they won't get official transcripts and the most definitely would not get their diploma. I want to desperately go back to school so I settled with the understanding that I would get my official transcripts. Well I received them however, I wanted them sent to another school and they have yet to receive them and when I call I get no answers just the run around. This school in my opinion has extremely poor customer service but more than that I truly don't believe they talk to one another that is how big of a mess this has been!"
"This school is the biggest joke ever. Be prepared if you are going to this school to not hear back from anyone for a couple of weeks. I would have concerns/questions for my SSA and by the time they got back to me sometimes I forgot why they were calling or email me back. I started emailing them every day with the same email so maybe they would get back to me. Sometimes it worked and they would have an attitude about me emailing them so many times. Well maybe if you answered me back the first or second time then maybe you wouldn't get 20 emails from me. I had withdrawn from the program because I was not doing as well as I thought I should. I came from high school with a 3.7 GPA and left chamberlain with a 2.6 GPA. I went to the CAS multiple times, I had meetings with teachers about what I should do and took their advice. I worked one-two days a week with hardly any money so I could just study non stop AND I STILL BARELY PASSED MY CLASSES. They have rules and regulations there that the professors are not supposed to tell you what you got wrong on your tests because you could possibly get it right on the final and i guess they didnt like that. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PASS THE FINAL WHEN I CANNOT KNOW WHAT I GOT WRONG ON THE TESTS? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Oh also the last session i was there someone got in trouble because they wrote down answers to the practice questions from study sessions and said that was cheating. If you think that is stealing answers then why dont the teachers just change the question around? I do not understand the logic here. I would try and do study groups but they did not benefit me. the only thing that really helped was re-reading the book over and over again for hours. When I would go talk to teachers and ask them questions about topics i was not understanding, some of them told me that I was not going to make it. Well guess what they got their wish because I withdrew from this "college". Oh here is another issue I am having. So i withdrew in the end of February. I asked my advisor if I was okay to do that and she told me I was good to do that. So i did and thought well maybe I will just go back to the community college and send my transcripts over to there and go from there. Well i apply and I notice nothing ever happened. I called the school and they said they never received my transcripts. Well when I was at chamberlain i had to get a loan through them called the last resort loan because I could not get a private loan through anyone. It isnt the best thing to do because the process takes about a year but this was my only option to get into the school. Well I was never told that and so when I withdrew they would not cover the last couple terms i was there and now I have to pay 5600 out of pocket to the school because of their lack of communication, it was actually 11,000 but they lowered it. yippy. And this took from the end of February and now almost into August and IT IS STILL NOT DONE!!! they keep saying paper work is processing every time I call and actually get to talk to someone (WHICH HAS ONLY BEEN A HANDFUL OF TIMES SINCE I CAN NEVER GET A HOLD OF ANYONE) . I have been so overwhelmed with this that I would not recommend going to this school if you do not have a lot of money or low income because if you fail or withdraw it will be a big ordeal! And hats off to the people who have gotten through it. I wish you well. For me this was the biggest mistake of my life. Oh they also hired teachers that did not even know anything about the subject they were teaching. Are you kidding me? I am paying all this money for that. I had some help from one CSA tutor but it would be basic easy questions and you go into a test and they are very difficult. why tutor like that when you know the tests are hard. BIGGEST WASTE OF MY TIME!"
