"After spending decades in pain, exacerbated by surgical interventions, including fusion(s), complicated by autoimmune inflammatory joint attacks, Dr. Goodman (Chicago Institute For Neuropathic Pain) took on the challenge of my case. He presented and implemented a multi/faceted strategy of identifying, assessing and determining the effects of diverse, (mostly) non invasive treatments to affected areas of concern. Some of these treatments result in immediate relief, while others may be a diagnostic tool, used for evaluating optional remediation. Dr. Goodman’s overall approach includes the assessment of physical activity and nutrition. In terms of reducing and eliminating the symptoms of autoimmune disease, my goals include the reduction of inflammation and the ability to be mobile. In that regard, my plan includes balance and strength training with a physical therapist and an enhanced nutritional program to reduce/eliminate oxidative stress and inflammation.
