Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America
About the Business
Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America, located at 6000 Hidden Acres in House Springs, Missouri, is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in horse farming in the face of climate change. With a goal to become a self-sustaining horse farm, the institute is seeking support to make necessary changes within a two-year timeline. Fundraisers and events are being organized to raise the $30,000 needed for property clearing, soil testing, and establishing native species for the horses to eat.
Testimonials from students and clients highlight the expertise and care provided by head trainer Lisa Wynne, who utilizes the IDT℠ Method to train horses and address behavioral issues. The institute offers a range of educational programs in English and Western Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and more, with a focus on horse psychology and physiology. With outdoor arenas, round pens, and trails, HHIA provides a holistic approach to horse care, allowing horses to live naturally while receiving the necessary components of domestic care. Through the Care Beyond Repair® program, the institute also assists horse owners in caring for their animals during times of injury, illness, or recovery. Join the HHIA community in supporting sustainable horsemanship practices and education.

"HHIA is a great environment for the family. Kids and adults alike, love to pet the sheep, pigs, chickens, cats and more that are roaming the property. The lessons are great, but riders will learn more than just riding. They'll learn a lot about the animals and about themselves."
"Wonderful place! Nonprofit rescue that saves as many horses as they can! Lisa focuses on the partnership between rider and horse. Thus, she creates a wonderful connection between the partners. It is also amazing to see the herd of horses interact. Hudson is the herd leader and he makes sure everything is in order. Sadye retired her position of lead horse after she taught him how to be a leader. It is truly amazing to see these horses interact. I’ve been a member for a year now and I am so thankful for this outlet! They also have some great land for trail rides. I love all the animals there, especially the pot belly pigs and sheep! Peanut loves belly rubs and all of them, including the chickens, love fruit! And the sheep love unsalted sunflower seeds :)"
"Wonderful trainer , great horses and my horse is there! Also close to home!"
