Reviews of David's Bicycle Shop
"I've been using this bicycle shop for years. David (owner and technician) has never pressured me into more than I need and will tell me if he believes I dont need an item. He is very good at his repairs and never needed to have a second repair. The biggest downside is, if you consider it as such, would be the wait for larger repairs not because he is slow but instead he has so many wanting his services."
"I've been doing business with David for close to 10 years. Every request and project that I've ventured into and need something unusual or out of box approach, he has been able to assist and then some. Look forward to supporting him for another 10 or more years. When it comes to willingness to help the customer, David never steps back, if anything he steps forward and enjoys the challenge. Appreciate all the assistance with each project."
"The owner did a great job replacing the inner tube of my back tire. Reasonable pricing, plus he took my bike out of my trunk when I dropped it off and offered to put it back in my car when I picked it up. He went the extra step that he didn’t have to and I really appreciated that. I will continue to go here for all of my bicycle needs from now on. Definitely recommend anyone to go here."
"David was fantastically knowledgeable about bikes and a joy to work with. He's got a fantastic selection of bikes (new and refurbished), including a variety of price points and sizes. He's also a fantastic repairman, and does a great job at reasonable rates. Most importantly, and I can't underscore this enough, he has a great love of cycling, and that comes out in his business. 5 stars isn't enough!"
"This is my new pride and joy Salvador! I'm incredibly happy with my purchase, and riding her has been fun! When I first thought of getting a new bike I was worried, with good reason. I weigh around 430 lbs. I'd read so many blog posts about what a bike that supports my weight type should have, and the general costs, all of it was a more than a little overwhelming. It was while I was researching that a good majority of heavy riders recommended going local. I figured I'd hedge my bets and shop online first and save local shopping for last. If only I'd of known to go local sooner. I'd of saved a great deal of time and wouldn't of called around in a tizzy like a chicken with its head chopped off. I made this shop my first stop and I can't believe how incredibly lucky I was! This owner has over 15 years of experience, was incredibly passionate yet humble about his store. That passion translates well into his work. He was very informative about all of his products and knew right away which would work best and why when I described what I wanted. His info accurately matched up with some of the advice I'd read from big bike guru's online, so I knew I wasn't dealing with someone who was yanking me around. Originally I'd wanted something like a cruiser simply because I liked the look and it was easy to get on because of the low middle. The bike he Pointed me too (My Salvador) lined up well with my wishes as well as some unknown needs I'd had yet to realize. Those needs being the 7 speed and proper tires to support my weight as well as front and rear brakes, which definitely come in handy now that I'm riding up and down hill, which I didn't know my neighborhood had. Did I mention the price? I thought I'd have to fork over a fortune to get my bike. I'd read so much about how much custom bikes cost for my weight class, I'm incredibly grateful and fortunate to have found a bike shop that wasn't trying to milk me for all I was worth and took my wants and needs above simply selling me the highest rated top dollar cop out two wheeler. All in all, this is my new bike shop! I've no doubt that my friends and family will frequent his store quite a bit in the future. Excellent service, excellent quality, excellent price, and a very Hometown personal experience you can't get at chain shops. 10/10 Foot Note: I took a bit of a tumble re-learning, and my water bottle holder broke. I also noticed one of my brake wires is out of slot, if anyone was wondering. So, I may need to be by sooner or later to get that taken care of. Ride On, guys! Cheers!"
