Reviews of Reeder & Brown, P.C.
"Joel Brown is a mess of a lawyer and all around person. He perpetually drunk and/or hungover. U can smell the booze on his musty breath every time he trys to close talk u. He's a sloppy idiot who never knows where u are in the case but always wants more money for his habit. He lied many times to me and my family about what he'd do in court but when court time came Joel showed up late and looking like hell jus to get laughed at by judge Dobbs. Joel cannot read a weekly schedule unless it's written Monday to Sunday lol I watched him have a complete meltdown in the middle of court cuz he couldn't understand what was being presented to him. The judge laughed at orders he'd file and tell Joel that in his years serving as judge he'd never seen such incoherent behaviour. I feel sorry for Joel cuz when u look into his eyes u see he's jus a soulless nimrod but I'm writing this to warn ppl about his predatory behavior. I'm sure he will drink himself outta a job soon tho lol"
"I hired Joel Brown for my custody case and THAT was the only mistake I made in the case. To begin with Joel is quite unprepared at every court date. He shows up literally the minute court starts. He is never there early to discuss any game plan. I had to call his office multiple times and leave numerous messages just for him to get back to me weeks later. When we did talk he had no idea where we were in the case. Most of the times he had wrong info on his end and would have to shuffle around thru his mess to jus find the paperwork I'd sent him weeks or months ago. The only reason I got my 8 days a month with my lil girl is cuz I did my own work. I was able to get a txt from my ex's new bf talking about how worried he was about the amount of coke my ex is doing. I showed Joel this and he told me to not worry about it and after I explained to him that I can pass a drug test if that's what he's worried about and he told me no it's just not gna matter to the judge. He also told me not to get dcfs involved.I took it up on myself to show my ex what damning evidence I had and that set the chain of events off. After that (with no real help from Joel) I was able to go from kept away from my child to morning visits to overnights and then a cpl more overnights added to the schedule. And I repeat Joel did absolutely nothing. In fact a cpl weeks before the final court date I tryd to get a hold of Joel to talk about the case and of course I was told he'd call me back. A few days after that I still hadn't heard from Joel but I did get an email from his "firm" requesting another 1000 dollars. During the final court date the judge asked me if I'd like to have a hearing about the parenting time and joel looked at me and i said yes. I thought that when the judge left the courtroom it was to give Joel time to draft a few things up but when the judge returned to court it was over and I immediately asked Joel why we weren't having a hearing and he told me he'd talk to me outside the court. Once we got out of court he tryd to tell me that he thought i said i DON'T want a hearing. I said u were sitting a cpl feet from me and u misheard me? I said I've been your client for over a year and u know I want 50 50 custody but u thought I said no to the hearing?!?! He got mad and tryd to say a few things but the idiot got put in his place and he sat there like a scolded child. So moral of the story is, Joel Brown is a joke of a lawyer who is either having some troubles with drugs or alcohol and u deff should avoid him unless you're smart enough to take control of your case and jus use him as the mouthpiece he is. I did I im very happy to say I've now got a decent schedule with my daughter. Thx for nothing Joel and maybe learn how to buy a fitted suit, looks like you're using your grandpa's."
