"Graduated from this great school in l957. I still remember all the teachers and the location of their classrooms, the pictures on the corridor walls of American heroes, the lovely woodwork. We had a recreation area, a "bowl" of play space surrounded by trees and breezes. The large assembly space reminded us of our importance - in a good way. Who knows if Elm Place -where I decided to become the English professor I became--spoke to me through its walls of the aspirations of the young."
"It was the best school. I have only great memories. I moved to Highland park in 4th grade when Elm Place was 4-8th grade. Till this day i think of Elm Place as my favorite time in my childhood."
