FedEx Drop Box

The FedEx Drop Box located at 1700 North State Street in Elgin, Illinois, offers convenient 24/7 drop-off for FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, and FedEx SmartPost prelabeled shipments. You can choose from 1-, 2-, or 3-day shipping options for FedEx Express, or select FedEx Ground for shipments to arrive in 1-5 business days. The drop boxes accept a variety of packages, including FedEx Express envelopes and boxes, as well as packages with your own FedEx label. Package sizes up to 20" x 12" x 6" are accepted.

Drop-off times may vary depending on the location, with many drop boxes now offering extended drop-off times and Saturday pickup options at select sites. To use the drop box, create a shipping label online or fill out an airbill with your FedEx account number, then print and affix the label to your package before dropping it off. Please note that cash, check, and credit card payments are not accepted at the drop box location.

FedEx also has nationwide FedEx Office locations that offer packing and shipping services, as well as FedEx Ship Centers with late hours, cutoff times, and the ability to ship some hazardous goods. You can use FedEx packaging or your own with a FedEx shipping label, but packages should not be left outside the drop box. For packages too large for the drop box, bring them to the counter at a nearby FedEx location.
