Reviews of Land of Lincoln Legal Aid
"Rude and unprofessional Every time I tried to talk and explain the situation the guy would cut me off and talk over me ended up just having to end the phone call because I could not get a word in."
"Denied me services said it was a conflict of interest no other explanation on how/who unfortunately I believe you all pick and choose who you want to help and who you don't God bless"
"If it were possible I give land of Lincoln an even lower score I'm facing an eviction and the help given me was totally useless. The attorney I ask spoke with acted like he could care less and showed no interest in my case at all. Save yourself time and find a private attorney who will accept your case pro Bono if you can't afford an attorney which is what I'm going to have to do now."
"They weren't able to assist me with my civil rights issue despite advertising in civil rights but did refer me to someone who did"
"It's Russian roulette in talking to actual helpful people/attorneys. Watch their wording because when they say "the office for X type of case isn't open & you can call back" what they mean is they are NOT accepting those types & calling back won't do you any good. Also the chances they are accepting your type of case regardless of the type are not very good. Currently not accepting bankruptcies and many years ago they weren't even accepting divorce cases unless you were abused & trying for money/support. Come to think of it, the only people I know who actually had a case accepted by them, the type involved getting money. Take that as you want & do with it what you will. I still recommend starting here though as you might win their "accepting" lottery and can also get at least some very basic legal information even if the "office is closed" to your case."
