"Oh, I how I wish I lived in the Chicago area so that I could utilize the services of this amazing counseling group regularly! I have been in touch with Billy Kaplan for about two years regarding my children who come from "hard places" (they experienced early-childhood trauma before they came to live with us). He's always been helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I have also watched the DVD he made with Christine Moers several times, and have purchased copies to give to those interested in the struggles my children face. Billy Kaplan organizes and runs an annual conference for parents who have kids with trauma issues. We were able to attend this year, thanks in no small part to the scholarship offered to parents who struggle financially, and it was a great weekend that provided us with a lot of tools to help our children progress toward more functioning territory. The other staff members from House Calls were amazing as well, from the assistants to the other therapists and LCSWs.
