"My 9 yo daughter and I both train with Professor Joe at Gracie Humaita Edwardsville (GHE). We have been there for about 6 months. The kids program is very supportive and takes a solid step by step process to teaching kids how to do the moves, respect their partners and their coaches. My daughter enjoys taking class 4 days a week and competing in local and regional tournaments. I’m a middle aged guy trying to be healthier so the GHE adult program is perfect. While there is a wide range of ages, most of the folks are white belts and as such in a similar boat to me skill wise. There are no huge egos and everyone I’ve worked with has been quick to help when I have trouble with a move. It’s a safe place to learn jiu jitsu whether you just want to learn and get healthier or if you want to do competitive jiu jitsu. Some folks compete and do very well, so the training must be on par or better than other local and regional programs. Highly recommend GHE and Professor Joe."
