Malcolm Eaton Enterprises

Malcolm Eaton Enterprises is a not-for-profit organization located in Freeport, Illinois, dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities. With a history dating back to 1966, MEE has grown into a regional agency providing programs and services to over 200 adults each day. The institution offers vocational and life skills programs aimed at promoting independence and economic self-sufficiency.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Malcolm Eaton Enterprises strictly follows guidelines from the CDC, IDPH, and IDHS to ensure the safety of all individuals. The institution's mission is to encourage and assist people with disabilities by promoting informed choice and creating opportunities for independent community living, work, and play.

One unique aspect of MEE is the production of Spirit brand bathroom tissue, which provides valuable work experience and job opportunities for the individuals served. Through community day services, vocational training, and home-based support services, MEE helps individuals develop important skills and become active members of their community.

Transportation services are also provided for easy access to programs and services. With a focus on promoting independence and enhancing daily living skills, Malcolm Eaton Enterprises continues to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in the Freeport area.
