"My miniature me has been attending Lena elementary since preschool (now in 3rd grade) and absolutely loves his environment. Always have had great teachers, very accommodating especially during the 2020 Pandemic. I give their staff big kudos for spearheading such a difficult year."
"Would give it a zero if I could. Denied admittance of my granddaughter on her first day of school today because they said there wasn't proof she lived in the district!! Bull!!"
"I never went to school here, but back when I used to play chess a lot and was active in a few clubs I would occasionally advertise tournaments to all the local high schools. While I knew at the time not many high schools had chess clubs in my local area, I knew there were still some individuals in high school that knew how to play chess and may or may not have been interested in chess. I did see some interest in other high schools by individuals like I described. This school was different, every time I went in to do my advertising I always got shut down at the front desk. The receptionist was rude and condescending. I do not believe any of the students ever heard about the chess tournaments. Later on I heard from a past teacher at this school that education was second tier, and administration here was like a dictatorship. Thus I think this would be a terrible school to go to under the current leadership."
"The staff are sincerely interested in the school. I have had three daughters graduate from this school that all have gone on to success in their lives, education and careers from the foundation of academics, athletics and positive social experiences. Presently I find the teachers and administration very cooperative with the community and passionate about education and supporting diversity."
"Teachers are great, the school has asbestos problems though. The principal is a very rude man who uses scare tactics to get what he wants. Would not recommend as a safe environment for learning"
