Reviews of The Field School
"We absolutely loved being a part of the Field School. The teachers are beyond amazing and the staff is always ready to listen. The administradors are professional and humble at the same time. This school embraces diversity and holds to their Christian values. Working here is a great experience and the kids love attending."
"Back in 2019, my husband and I were on the fence about homeschooling and choosing a private school for our son. We heard about the Field School through a friend and I could not be more thankful for that! I was so nervous sending my little kindergartener to school for the first time - but the staff at the Field school is INCREDIBLE. When I tell you they love your child like their own, I mean it! Additionally, each teacher is literally a master at teaching! Their approach with teaching and curriculum causes each child to flourish to their highest potential and I've been floored by the thought and prayer that goes into each decision the staff makes. I now have two children at the Field School. The teachers AND staff have poured into each of my children with such love and care. My kids LOVE school. They get sad when there is a day off (it's really THAT amazing)! The teachers and staff watch your child closely and learn about who they are as an individual. I've experienced this firsthand during parent teacher conferences. Hearing the way my kid's teachers describe my two kid's personalities, needs and strengths so accurately has literally brought tears to my eyes. If you are considering applying to the Field School, don't second guess yourself. This school is top notch!"
"We sent our daughter to the Field School for a year before we had to move and she absolutely loved it! She had such wonderful friendships and her soul truly flourished! Due to a job with lots of relocating we have tried many models of educating (homeschool, public, and charter) and I am a firm believer in the Classical Christian model. I was so impressed with the staff and kindness of the students. I can’t speak highly enough of everyone there. Definitely check them out!"
"As a teacher who has worked in different settings, both private and public, over the last ten years, I can say with unwavering confidence that the Field School is a special place. I truly loved being a member of this school community. Not only were my former colleagues incredibly skilled in their teaching craft, but the love and care they had for children and families shone through every day. As for what it was like to be there as a teacher, I not only felt that I had voice (and that my voice mattered), but I actually DID. It's awesome when the stated mission of an institution actually matches the lived reality of it in the day to day. One time, for example, I asked to adjust a portion of the curriculum in order to include a few more diverse, non-white perspectives and I was met with an enthusiastic, "Yes! Go for it!" I still appreciate the admin for taking the time to understand how this adjustment was necessary in order to keep in step with one of the values of the Field School (diversity), and not only in terms of representation of the children and the teaching faculty & staff, but also in regards to the content & curriculum itself. I also valued the positive and productive relationships I had with the families of the students I taught. Better still, the children were and remain the primary treasures! The work the Field School is committed to-- bringing children together from different racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds-- is hard, good, beautiful work. But it's work that's being tenaciously pursued because of the conviction that God has created every child in His image, and with the right to flourish--body, soul, mind, and spirit. Who wouldn't love coming to an environment where you see the glimmer of joyful discovery sparkling in the eyes of each community member? This is the Field School!"
"The Field School has been a dream come true for our family and a huge answer to many of our prayers! The teachers and administrators see themselves as partners with parents/caregivers in the education of each child. The Field School truly knows, loves and cares for each child and their family. They desire and work very hard to teach and enable each child to grow and flourish, not only in his or her studies, but also in character. We fully trust each teacher and administrator at The Field School knowing that each student is receiving an excellent, diverse, Christ-centered education. The education is exceptional because of the school's long term kingdom perspective. They are not just training students for the next grade level, they are training them to be life long learners, thinkers, problem solvers, compassionate leaders and stewards of God's good creation."
